LOW TEMPERATURE REFRIGERATING ROOM ACTIVITY

For decades the Fiorano Modenese plant has been used to refrigerate, freeze and store meat at low temperatures for third parties, in full compliance with the cold chain.


 The structure is equipped with freezing tunnels at -40°C and cold storage rooms at -20°C.

The experience of the operators and the constant control allow to operate in full compliance with product traceability. The meat arrives on trucks suitable for transport directly from abroad or from Italy, hung on guideways (hams) or on pallets; it may be delivered fresh or frozen. At receipt both the product and the documents are checked. The frozen goods are unloaded with special forklifts and immediately introduced into the cold storage rooms at t° ≤-20°C. Fresh meat, on the other hand, is unloaded with a mechanical arm or a forklift, depending on the characteristics of the product, and is introduced into the freezing tunnel; at the customer’s request, it is possible to pack, palletize, wrap, weigh or perform other activities as required. Once frozen, the meat is transferred to the cold storage rooms at t° ≤-20°C.

Before picking up the frozen product, a visual check is carried out on the pick-up means, the refrigerator is switched on and a final conformity check is carried out on the conditions of the goods to be delivered.
